Reiki Symbols Revealed – The 4 Major Symbols of Reiki Healing

Reiki Symbols area only a tool used in Reiki to assist the practitioner to connect to the different energies used in Reiki healing sessions. Reiki Symbols actually hold no power of their own only the empowerment you as a practitioner give them.
Over the years the secret Symbols has been sought by many. Some Reiki Masters have requested very large sums of money to reveal the symbols to their students whilst teaching their Reiki Courses.
The belief that Reiki symbols should be kept secret is a very controversial topic, and often separates healers. All Reiki Masters agree the symbols are very sacred and should be treated with the highest respect.
Dr Mikao Usui designed the Reiki Symbols as he had students who were having difficulty learning the associated energies used in Reiki healing. Once a student can easily and confidently connect with the associated energies of Reiki the use of the Symbols is not always necessary and is the choice of the Reiki Master.
Most Reiki Masters use the symbols initially when healing themselves and others, and many continue using them every time they do a Reiki Healing session as they feel their connection to the energy is stronger. This choice is solely the decision of the individual Reiki Master.
There are 4 Major Symbols used in Reiki:
1. Choko-Rei
2. Sei-Hei-Ki
3. Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen
4. Dai- Ko-Myo
Each of these symbols is taught at different levels of Reiki and are used to heal different things. The First symbol th e Choko-Rei is for empowerment, the second the Sei-Hei-Ki is used for emotional healing. The Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen is used to send Reiki energy over space distance and time and the Dai- Ko-Myo is the Master Symbol.
