Celestial Reiki

Celestial Reiki
By Kath Ibbetson

Reiki is not a religion. Instead, those who practice reiki get more intimate with their own religion, understanding and enriching their own religious beliefs. A reiki practitioner has to promote the way of good living in order to master the flow of the “life force” and promote harmony and peace for true healing to happen.

This technique was developed by Japanese Mikao Usui and was primarily intended as a form of therapy that could be used in tandem with conventional techniques for treating physical, emotional and mental illnesses.

The concept of celestial reiki is the same as conventional reiki but instead of having a spiritual experience limited here on Earth, one who practices celestial reiki takes into account the other planets of the solar system as well as stars and constellations, particularly the star constellations of the 12 signs of the zodiac.

According to the teachings of reiki, there is an energy that can be channeled to help heal diseases. This energy is universal and flows within us as our “life force”. This life force energy dictates our feelings and dispositions. The more active the energy flows through us, the healthier and happier we become.

In celestial reiki, the “life force” that is used to heal in ordinary reiki is taken further. The earth’s core “life force” energy is used to heal the mind, body and soul. And since all planets and star systems emit a particular “life force” signature, celestial reiki practitioners harness that energy and use the energy from the celestial bodies to heal the human body.

Reiki treatment involves the whole body. This includes the body’s physical state and its emotional, intellectual and, of course, the spiritual well being. When you look at it, reiki is a simple self-improvement technique. And since the “life force” energy it teaches is said to be present in all things, anybody can use this energy to heal and promote recovery.

It’s not limited to individual energy, but encompasses the universe. This is why the “life force” energy in reiki is infinite. And regardless of how many times or how many people use it, the “life force” energy can always be utilized to heal.

However, reiki is not taught but rather the ability is transferred by a Reiki master to his student during the stage of what they call “attunement.” At this level, the Reiki master passes the ability of reiki to a student allowing him to tap to the “life force” energy which will give him the ability to heal wounds and illnesses and generally improve one’s quality of life.

Going back to celestial reiki, what we currently know about the solar system and stars is given a new light by practicing this form of reiki.

Understand that the universe’s “life force” energy can be channeled into one’s hands to heal not only on the individual level but eventually heal the whole planet as well. And by connecting with each planet and star.

Question and Answers: What does being in a medative state feel like?

Reiki Question:
I have being trying to crack meditation for ages but it is very hard as I don’t know what I should be feeling. Last night I was using the computer for an hour and feeling fairly dopey when I opened an email with a Reiki grid for me to look at, within seconds I had what i used to call a nerve head ache as a child, I had a pulsating feeling on the left side of my temple which sent waves across my forehead and was very pleasant and left me feeling slightly floaty. It is very hard to describe but the nearest I can get is it is similar to the feeling in my head when I orgasm! Is this what I am supposed to feel. I remeber as a child of 5 or 6 we would sit out on the school playing field with the sun on us and easily go off into our nerve headaches. If only I can manage to do it as easily now I am an adult and no wonder people are adicted to it!

My Answer:
Peaceful. - No thoughts getting stuck in the brain, they just flow past, like clouds. Never had a headache or any other ache, by the way, you are doing something wrong. It is the total opposite of an orgasm.
Peace.

How to Prepare to Learn Reiki

How to Prepare to Learn Reiki
By Carl U Romero

If you are reading this article then you are already well on your way to preparing to learn Reiki. The first step is to learn about it. Granted, I went into it blind, never even having experienced a treatment, but I believe it was divine intervention that drew me there. Having a solid grip on the history helps immensely because knowing how it got here helps explain some of the discrepancies you will find in the stories that are passed on by various teachers. Having a sense of non-judgment when it comes to the different schools and types of Reiki also helps when you start learning Reiki. One time I saw an old Reiki Master and the first thing I asked her was what type of Reiki she was currently teaching. She replied that if I was a Reiki snob, it was not worth taking her class. It made me think, and also made me more accepting of healing regardless of the lineage or the name it goes under.

Performing meditation for a period of time may also help you to decide if Reiki is right for you. I will outline a simple technique for you to try, because through meditation one can better heed the universe’s messages and your own intuition. The type of meditation I am describing is called anapanasati, and it is part of Tibetan Buddhist practice. I chose this form because it is simple yet effective, and because it is what I am familiar with.

Find a comfortable and quiet spot (very important). If necessary, turn off the ringer on the phone so that you will not be disturbed. Wear comfortable and non-restrictive clothing, and do not eat or drink right before you are about to meditate. You may wish to be seated, standing, lying or walking. The most common position is either seated on the floor or in a chair that has a back. Posture is important, the spine should be straight, and the shoulders relaxed. Make sure that if you have any back problems, your back is well supported and comfortable.

Once you are comfortable, the eyes should be kept half open, with the focus on a space in front of your nose. Keep the eyes relaxed and do not worry if they are unfocused. Relax your abdomen, and check your posture. Keep your head balanced on the top of your shoulders so that you are forming a straight line with your spine.

Before you begin, make a statement that describes what you hope to achieve from the meditation such as “I aspire to achieve a state of calm and relaxation during this session”. Then you simply sit and try to empty your mind of all thoughts-easier said than done I know! I try and visualize intruding thoughts as bubbles and pop them. All the while, your focus remains on the area just below and in front of your nose. Feel the rhythm of your breath. Try to build up in your mediation practice. Start with 5 minutes, and work your way up to 20 if you can. Any practice is better than no practice at all.

When you conclude the session, dedicate the merit you have gained to everyone, all sentient beings or even a specific person you feel needs the help. Finally, you should spend a few minutes reviewing what you experienced during the meditation. Think back over how you felt, and the thoughts that invaded your quiet mind. Think about feelings you may have experienced, or why certain things came to your mind. In this way you may find that you are guided or led to learn Reiki. Regardless, this type of practice is great for mind, body and soul and will not do you harm.

If you have decided that Reiki is indeed for you, the next step is to pick the Reiki course that is right for you and then get ready to open yourself to the universal energy.

Healing Touch Reiki
By Unknown

Reiki uses a healing touch to create feelings of deep relaxation and inner peace, providing the body with an ideal environment to maximize its natural healing processes and allows relief of all kinds of physical and mental distress, from a backache to the blues. Reiki supports the subject’s immune system and enhances the body’s ability to heal itself. Although many have tried rationally to explain how this healing touch Reiki actually works it still remains a mystery.

Healing touch Reiki is similar to other spiritual healing processes that involve participants lying on hands. Those who practice Reiki believe life force energy flows inside of everyone’s body and keeps them healthy. If for some reason this life force energy is depleted bad things can and do happen. The lack of this life force energy can cause emotional, mental and physical illness and distress.

Reiki is a simple, safe, and natural method that can be used for your own spiritual and self improvement as well as helping others. When Reiki is used on yourself it can help with the revitalization of your mind and body. Stress vanishes and so do many body pains and aches. Self healing touch Reiki techniques require the practitioner to keep their hands on particular spontaneous parts of your own body and let the energy flow through the hands to heal their own body.

When you practice your healing touch Reiki on another person you will be surprised at the spontaneous activation that occurs, you can feel your hands get warm as the energy passes through your hands into the other person. No one knows exactly why but the warmth does occur and wonderful things begin to happen. Learning the proper Reiki technique does not require years of practice, and can be learned by anyone who is motivated in a few short training sessions.

The healing touch of Reiki can provide relief from emotional and physical pains such as back ache, arthritic pain and is helpful in relieving the pains associated with pregnancy and giving birth.

Pains and depression associated with chemotherapy and radiation therapy used to fight against cancer can be relieved by the use of Reiki. Chronic pain, lack of energy, and grief also respond very well to this treatment.

In the modern world we live in and with all the advancements of modern medicine the techniques used when practicing Reiki might seem like quackery, however, about fifty percent of the practitioners are certified medical practitioners. Why is that? Simply because of the positive results.

Reiki can provide you with miraculous results after the healing touch treatment. The results help improve and calm your body, your emotions, your mind and your spiritual feelings. Out of all this comes what most people are looking for in this complex and fast moving world, the beneficial effects of the feelings associated with this enhanced relaxation, peace and security. The greatest thing about the healing touch of Reiki is that it cannot harm you; it can only improve your situation.

The Symbols Of Reiki

The Symbols Of Reiki

By Dr. Mark Clayson

The Western style of Reiki teachings is focused on the use of symbols or shirushi (Japanese) to convey the Reiki energy to the person being healed. It is said that in Mikao Usui’s original teachings he did not employ the use of these symbols. He did, however, bring the symbols into Reiki when he taught the three naval officers his techniques, one of who was Dr. Hayashi, supposedly because they were having difficulty understanding how to transmit energy on a spiritual level and Usui procured the symbols to help them grasp this concept. These symbols were further developed by Hayashi in his spiritual teachings after Usui’s death.

In Western Reiki, the symbols are used as ‘keys’ to the Reiki practitioner. The practitioners intuition must be developed and, using his or her hands guided by energy, either to fixed positions on the body or intuitively ‘scanning’ to the body to be healed. The Reiki ‘Masters’ are attuned to the symbols and use these symbols to invoke Universal Life Force Energy, vibration and cosmic or celestial energy that flows through the practitioner into the body to be healed.

SYMBOL 1- CHO KU RAY (Pronunciation “choh-koo-ray”)

Alias: “The Power Symbol”

This Symbol is used to focus Reiki on a specific location, drawing energy from around the practitioner for a specific intent. It is used an all-purpose symbol and may be used as a seal or amulet for protection. Practitioners use this symbol to cleanse negative energies, on food, drink or material possessions. This symbol can be used in conjunction with other Reiki Symbols for further empowerment and to seal energies after the treatment is given.

SYMBOL 2- SEI HEI KI (Pronunciation: say-hay-key)

Alias: The Mental/Emotional Symbol

This Symbol is utilized primarily for the treatment of mental and emotional issues, calming the mind and for the treatment of addictions. Also employed in treating stress, anxiety, fear, depression and nervousness. It can help to cleanse and heal past traumas or emotional blockages. It removes bad vibrations and negative energies, to balance the left and right brain, for psychic protection and to deprogram inappropriate behavior as well as programming positive habits.

Sei Hei Ki restablishes emotional balance and harmony.

SYMBOL 3- HON SHA ZE SHO NEN (Pronunciation: Hanh-shah-zay-show-nen)

Alias: The Distance Symbol

Meaning: “Correct Thought /(Correct Mindfulness) is the essence of being” or “Right consciousness is the root for everything

This symbol is made of 5 kanji characters making up HSZSN.

It is used to send Reiki ‘at a distance’ to people, animals, places, situations or events. It is also used to send Reiki across the idea of time as we know it. Using this symbol, the practitioner sends Reiki to situations that have passed and/or events that have not yet happened. This symbol can also be used to assist interaction with spirits of place, ancestry, ancestry energy patterns or deity.

In some forms of Reiki, this symbol is understood to represent the idea that there is ‘oneness’ between practitioner and receiver of Reiki, that energy transcends delineation of forms.

SYMBOL 4- DAI KO MYO (Pronunciation: dye-ko-me-o)

Reiki Symbols Revealed - The 4 Major Symbols of Reiki Healing

By Yvonne Handford

Reiki Symbols area only a tool used in Reiki to assist the practitioner to connect to the different energies used in Reiki healing sessions. Reiki Symbols actually hold no power of their own only the empowerment you as a practitioner give them.

Over the years the secret Symbols has been sought by many. Some Reiki Masters have requested very large sums of money to reveal the symbols to their students whilst teaching their Reiki Courses.

The belief that Reiki symbols should be kept secret is a very controversial topic, and often separates healers. All Reiki Masters agree the symbols are very sacred and should be treated with the highest respect.

Dr Mikao Usui designed the Reiki Symbols as he had students who were having difficulty learning the associated energies used in Reiki healing. Once a student can easily and confidently connect with the associated energies of Reiki the use of the Symbols is not always necessary and is the choice of the Reiki Master.

Most Reiki Masters use the symbols initially when healing themselves and others, and many continue using them every time they do a Reiki Healing session as they feel their connection to the energy is stronger. This choice is solely the decision of the individual Reiki Master.

There are 4 Major Symbols used in Reiki:

1. Choko-Rei

2. Sei-Hei-Ki

3. Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen

4. Dai- Ko-Myo

Each of these symbols is taught at different levels of Reiki and are used to heal different things. The First symbol th e Choko-Rei is for empowerment, the second the Sei-Hei-Ki is used for emotional healing. The Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen is used to send Reiki energy over space distance and time and the Dai- Ko-Myo is the Master Symbol.

Although this may sound confusing if you are not trained in Reiki, it is very easy to connect with Reiki energy and to learn the energies of the four reiki symbols and how to use them. Reiki Online - A New Trend to Learn Reiki

By Debby L.

Reiki online was not a household term 15 years ago. It was something that you had to learn in person and spend a few days from a master. Some schools even required you to pass a test before taking level 3.

The same thing applies with other daily routines, such as banking. In the late eighties, electronic or internet banking was not a household terms. Now most of us prefer to do banking from the convenient of our laptop. We order airline tickets through the internet, and even bought our electronic appliance from Amazon.

Reiki online has been a trend since the late nineties and is becoming more and more popular now. People want to become a healer instantly, and do not want to spend days learning it. They prefer to learn the material online or download the digital manual and get the Reiki attunement from a distance.

Some people argue that learning directly from a master is much better than learning from internet. While the truth is debatable, the truth is that universal energy, which is the basic of Reiki does not have any limitation on distance, place and time. It is possible to have attunement from a distance and it is effective, as long as the master is capable and competent.

The best way to know whether the person who give the attunement is competent or not is to check around. You could get the information from the internet. Household names such as Judith Conroy, William Rand and other well known masters are your best choice. Their track record and credibility are your assurance. They have thousand of students and have been around for quite a while.

Reiki online will become a household term for most of us who want to learn reiki at the convenience of our living room. As long as you get the attunement from a reputable and competent master, you are on the right track.

Debby Law practices Reiki Healing and hold Shamballa Reiki Master since 2003. Reiki is the best and easy way for you to get health naturally, especially if you are a Reiki Master.
